2013 Indian GP Preview

Usually I start writing about the history of the track or memories etc. but to tell you the truth, I don't really have that many memories from this track. It is very new so there isn't really that much history either.

The Formula One circus has been here since 2011. What has happened in these GP's? Sebastian Vettel has won both of them and Fernando Alonso has been on the podium as well both of those times. So Vettel and Alonso are going to be high up on the grid this weekend.

Mark Webber and Jenson Button have also been close to the top in these GP's mainly cause the track has been good for Red Bull and McLaren. This year I'm not that sure that McLaren will have the success that they have had earlier. Webber is still going to be close the podium but I have this feeling that he will not be on it.

Grosjean has been fast for the last few races but will it continue here? I hope so for his sake!
Lotus has clearly found some speed suddenly but Kimi Räikkönen on the other hand has lost some. He has had problems with the steering of his car and also some issues with his starts.

The starts have failed because of his car's setups which have been wrong. The steering have mainly been bad because of the tires. Kimi has stated that the problems are almost taken care of and that his motivation is still the same.

Now it's time for the guesses:

Pole position: Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull

The race:

  1. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull
  2. Fernando Alonso, Ferrari
  3. Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes
(I am pretty sure about the first two but if Hamilton has problems with his car or himself I believe one of the Lotuses will take his place)

Fastest lap: Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull

Surprise: Valtteri Bottas, Williams. He may finally take a point to Williams this weekend. Maldonado has already taken one point for the team and they haven't scored anything else this season.

Some fans of this blog have sent me messages about the GP saying that this is always a boring race and that the track is awful etc. I know what you mean but it's still Formula One and that's what counts. Let's hope that the Abu Dhabi GP is more interesting. Just like last year.

And now something else for those of you that haven't heard! I am going to Abu Dhabi after the Indian GP and I am bringing my best cameras. So if you have any wishes or suggestions what kind of pictures I should take during the Abu Dhabi GP you still have time.
