Formula 1 Turbo Engines - How It All Started [FULL LENGTH]

Another F1 documentary you can't miss!

F1 TREASURES III

I went for a walk with my dog and then I noticed a flea market less than a mile from my house.
Of course I had to go and check out the books as always.

The first book I grabbed in my hand was a Formula One dictionary from the year 2001. Yes an alphabetical F1 dictionary about everything!

The price was only 1 euro.

The book is in finnish but fortunately I understand that language as well.

Earlier I said that in Finland every F1 related book and magazine cover always has a Finn on it. Finnish people would rather do an interview with Tommi Pärmäkoski (Vettel's former personal trainer) than the champion himself. It has nothing to do with Vettel it's just that the people are very patriotic.

On this book cover you can see Kimi Räikkönen in his Sauber.

And on the back cover you can see Mika Häkkinen in his McLaren. He was my favorite F1 driver after Ayrton Senna had passed away in 1994.

When you open the book you can see Mika Häkkinen again in a little bit better picture.
Not a big surprise!

Then we have the introduction and it's written by the first Finn to ever drive in a Grand Prix.
This is Leo Kinnunen.

He's just saying that when he was driving in the 70's there wasn't any good information on motor sports in Finland. Now there is books like this one and all the GP's are shown on TV!

That's all I found this time.

Now it's time for me to go and read this!

Monaco, Race Of Kings -documetary

A classic Formula One documentary about the most legendary racing track.

Watch a full race onboard of Gerhard Berger's Ferrari!

This is from Estoril, Portugal in 1989. Gerhard Berger started from second place and actually won the race by over half a minute in the end (Alain Prost was 32 seconds from Berger). You can jump to different time points if you like cause the race is obviously very long.

The footage is quite rare so enjoy!

Top Gear: Richard Hammond drives F1 Renault R25 car at Silverstone

This video shows how hard it is to drive a Formula One car.

Racing games from my closet

Look at these games! I have never really thought about the amount of racing games I own.
The funny thing is that I didn't even find them all!
Now I can see that maybe I should get something else than racing games for a change.

There's new and old stuff in the same pile. I absolutely love retro games so I can't get rid of any single one of them even though I have a lot.

The games are on the following consoles: 8bit Nintendo, 8bit Famicom (Japanese Nintendo), Famicom Disk System, 16bit Super Nintendo (both PAL and NTSC), 16bit Super Famicom (Japanese Super Nintendo), Nintendo64, Philips CD-I, Playstation, XBOX, Nintendo Wii, Playstation3, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS and also on PC.

If you are curious about the games and if you can't see from this picture then just ask me.

The game that I enjoy the most is probably Mario Kart Wii. I like to use the steering wheel instead of regular controllers because it feels more like driving.

In China I tried a Mario Kart game at the arcades. I got the best feeling of the game by sitting in a car instead of holding just a wheel at home. I had to stop in the middle of the game cause I kept winning all the races. Didn't have time to sit there all day so I gave my seat to a teenager and let him continue my game.

Earlier I told you guys about my newest game F1 Race Stars. If you like Mario Kart then F1 race starts is the game you should get!

In October I shall buy F1 2013 and that will probably be the last racing game for this year.

F1 - 1996 Monaco FULL GP (playlist)

Michael Schumacher's Ferrari at the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix

This was one of the most exiting Monaco GP's ever! This is just my opinion but maybe someone feels the same. The winner was quite a surprise and just a few cars finished the race.

There wasn't a full race on Youtube so I found this playlist were you can find all of the parts of the full race. Just start by clicking play and let the YouTube playlist switch to the next video when the first one ends.
