Kimi Räikkönen on Top Gear just before his comeback

Santander paid Ferrari to kick out Kimi Räikkönen after the 2009 season to get room for Fernando Alonso. A bit sneaky if you ask me but unfortunately money talks in this world and if you have enough of it contracts don't mean anything.

Anyways after he had to leave Ferrari he got sick and tired of the F1 politics and got interested of rallying. He drove for two seasons but wasn't as happy as in Formula One. He missed the overtaking and fighting against other drivers on a racing track. He even tried out a few races of Nascar but it didn't feel the same.

He spoke with the Williams F1 team about returning. He was now sure that he wanted back but maybe not with Williams. He spoke with other teams as well but the only team that he was interested of was Lotus.

People were skeptical about his motivation but he showed them all that he is still hungry. He was third in his comeback season which is very good. This season it looks even better for him.

This Top Gear video is filmed a week before Kimi's F1 return. For some reason I didn't find it on YouTube.
