2016 Bahrain Grand Prix review

The race was weird in a way because I had the feeling that there was constantly something thrilling going on in the race but when it was time to write my thoughts on paper I didn't really know what to say. This might be a bit short but anyways... HERE GOES!

Before the race had even started there was some smoke coming out of Sebastian Vettel's car. For some reason the cameras were not on Vettel even though you could clearly see that something was wrong. After a while his engine failed and he had to stop his car on the side of the track. So now two Ferrari engines have failed in two races. Not looking good for the prancing horse. Do they have what it takes this year or not?

At least Nico Rosberg has what it takes! In the start he overtook his teammate Lewis Hamilton again just like in Melbourne two weeks ago.

The other one who got a super start was Williams' Valtteri Bottas who was third in the first corner and was challenging for second. Unfortunately Hamilton didn't see him for some reason and they crashed. Bottas was penalized even though Hamilton said that it was a racing incident and that Bottas knows what he's doing. The penalty basically ruined the Finns race but he still got a couple of points but wasn't very happy obviously.

The other Finn Kimi Raikkonen on the other hand had a terrible start but managed to overtake cars through the whole race no matter what tires he had under him. Nobody could stop Kimi except for Rosberg who was just too quick.

One man who everybody notices in every race is Hamilton. Even though he had a lot of drama at the start he basically had the same kind of luck as Kimi. He also managed to overtake car after car no matter what kind of tires he had under him. Great job as usual!

Last time I was very happy for Haas' performance even though Esteban Gutierrez retired. This time he retired also but Romain Grosjean continued in Bahrain where he left off in Australia. This time he did one position better than last time and grabbed 5th position for the new American Formula One team. I can't wait to see where Gutierrez will finish when he doesn't get an engine failure or doesn't get hit by Fernando Alonso.

There is one last thing I must mention and that is a man named Stoffel Vandoorne. Did you guys see how he drove out there?! what a driver!! I mean if he drives like that in every race then it doesn't matter if there is Vandoorne or Alonso sitting in the car. You know what I mean?

Vandoorne said that he has so much pressure about doing well that he can't really enjoy himself. That also proves that he is able to do well under pressure which is a very good sign. I hope he will stay in F1!

Then it's time for my predictions and the actual results:

Pole position: Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes - CORRECT. It was the fastest lap ever at the track.

The race:
1. Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes - He was third
2. Nico Rosberg, Mercedes - He won the race
3. Kimi Räikkönen, Ferrari - He was second

Fastest lap: Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes - His teammate set the fastest lap

Surprise: Romain Grosjean will have a great race - CORRECT (he was 5th)
