Räikkönen has a chance to improve his own record in Spa

Kimi Räikkönen has a chance to improve his F1 record, if he would rise to victory today from 8th place on the grid.

Räikkönen holds a record of winning 6 races from outside of the top5. Two of those victories has come from Spa.

In the 2004 season, he won after starting from 10th place, and in the 2009 season he won from 6th place. Even Michael Schumacher, who won 91 grand prix races in his career, has not risen to victory from outside of the top5 as many times as Räikkönen, who has won only 20 grand prix races in his career.

- We've had even worse starting positions and made good results. Here it's easy to overtake if your car has speed. Maybe we will be able to do something about our situation, Räikkönen said after the qualifying session.

Räikkönen has also a chance to improve his record of most consecutive points. He has finished in the points in every race after his come back except for the Chinese GP last year. In China he was also fighting for the victory but couldn't keep his position because of the problems with his tires.
