For the 11th time ever in F1 history a race started behind the safety car. It lasted for 5 laps which made it very boring right away.
When the safety car finally pitted the race started with Lewis Hamilton in the lead and behind him were Nico Rosberg, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
Kimi Räikkönen was fifth but decided to pit early for intermediate tyres and so did half of the grid behind him.
2 laps later the rest pitted for a tyre change because of the virtual safety car that was deployed due to Pascal Wehrlein's retirement.
It seemed that Red Bull was much better than Ferrari in wet conditions. Verstappen even had the same pace as the race leader Hamilton.
Williams for example had a lot of issues because their car is not good at all in the wet. We even saw Valtteri Bottas spin once which is very unusual. That guy always stays on track no matter what.
So the race continued with the Mercs of Hamilton and Rosberg with Verstappen right on their tale. Then we saw something very interesting - Verstappen overtook Rosberg on track and didn't even use the DRS. Rosberg of course got his position back after a while which made it look boring again.
What happened then? Rosberg got issues with his gear box! He asked on the radio what to do and they gave him instructions how to avoid any drama. That was a huge mistake. They gave him information that seemed to be illegal but he managed to stay 2nd till the checkered flag.
On the podium we saw Hamilton, Rosberg and Verstappen celebrating their great finishes. Rosberg was the unlucky one because he received a penalty for the illegal radio communication. He dropped to 3rd and Verstappen got 2nd.
It was the right decision in my opinion but they could have given him the penalty during the race. It's annoying sometimes when the final results get changed.

The race:
- Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes - CORRECT
- Nico Rosberg, Mercedes - CORRECT/WRONG. Rosberg got a penlty and dropped to 3rd.
- Kimi Räikkönen, Ferrari - WRONG. Verstappen was 3rd but got 2nd place after Rosberg's penalty.
Fastest lap: Nico Rosberg, Mercedes - CORRECT
Surprise: McLaren might get some more points in Silverstone - WRONG
