The records never stop! And when they do people break them again.

Please note that these records were made before August 22th 2013.

Here we go:

  • Most consecutive points finishes: Kimi Räikkönen - in 27 races (the record is still going and ends when he doesn't finish in the points).
  • Highest average points per race entered: Sebastian Vettel - 11.05 points per race
  • Highest percentage of races finished in the points: In the points at the only race / 100% - Dorino Serafini, Eric Thompson and Oscar Alfredo Galvez.
  • Most championship points in a season: Sebastian Vettel - 392 points in 2011.
  • Most championship points in a season before 2009 and the new scoring system: Michael Schumacher - 148 points in 2004
  • Highest percentage of possible points in a season: 100% - Alberto Ascari in 1952 and Jim Clark in 1963 and 1965.
  • Highest percentage of total possible points in a season: Michael Schumacher - 84.71% (144 points of 170 possible points)
  • Most career points without being world champion: Mark Webber - 953,5 points
  • Most career points recalculated to the 2010 scoring system: Michael Schumacher with 3890 points
  • Total races finished in the points recalculated to the 2010 scoring system: Michael Schumacher with 226 point finishes
  • Highest average points per race started, recalculated to the 2010 scoring system: George Amick would have gotten 18 points in the only race he started = 18 points per race
  • Most championship points in a season recalculated to the 2010 scoring system: Sebastian Vettel still wins with his 392 points from the 2011 season.
  • Most races led from the start till the end: Ayrton Senna - 19 races
  • Most races led for at least one lap: Michel Schumacher - 142 races
  • Most laps led in Formula One history: Michael Schumacher - 5111 laps
  • Longest distance led (total) in Formula One history: Michael Schumacher - 24 144 km
  • Most laps led without a victory: Chris Amon - 183 laps
  • Most consecutive laps in the lead: Alberto Ascari - 304 laps
  • Most of pole & win at the same grand prix: Michael Schumacher - 40 GP's
  • Most wins from pole position in a season: Nigel Mansell (1992) and Sebastian Vettel (2011)
  • Most of pole, win and fastest lap at the same grand prix: Michael Schumacher - 22 GP's
  • Most of pole, win, fastest lap and led the whole race at the same grand prix: Jim Clark - 8 GP's
  • Fewest world championship season before first title: Champion in the 2nd season - Jaques Villeneuve (1997) and Lewis Hamilton (2008)
  • Most world championship seasons as a runner up: Stirling Moss and Alain Prost - 4 seasons
